Oral History Project
The Civic Media Center's Oral History Project seeks to record local activists, lectures by keynote speakers from around the world, and in general an oral history reflecting the depth of experience among those involved with the Civic Media Center in the past. The project's archive is comprised of 200+ digital recordings, which date back to the early 1990's and continue up to the present day. The archive is accessible from the public computers inside the Civic Media Center.
We also document the ongoing oral history event series at the CMC, which features local activists speaking about their lives.
If you are interested in learning more about the Oral History Project, in helping to digitize our archives, or in setting up an event, please contact the coordinators for more information.
