DeAnna and Larry Presents: An Excerpt of Us Benefit

Published Christine Pierre-Lys - Tue, 08/02/2016 - 2:59pm

This event was conceived off of the strength that Larry and I are artists in a transitional period moving in directions that will propel us to the next level of our artistry. We need money to do that ya'll. Naturally, in true 'us' fashion we decided to do a show! We want to share our gifting’s with a community that has allowed us to grow and flourish in our own right in hopes that you will come and engage and support our endeavors and help us along the way.

The benefit will be comprised of works that we have both done in the past that we're still exploring as well as new works. It will include song, dance, movement, poetry and acting. There will be individual performances and also group pieces. Most of the performances are a collaboration of things written and created by us mixed with already published contemporary works.

Hello! My name is DeAnna S Wright. I am interested in all things artsy fartsy may that be visual or performative, some more than others. I currently reside in Gainesville and am a local artist of acting, singing and dance/movement. You may have seen me at the Acrosstown Repertory Theater or The Actors Warehouse and around Gainesville doing various performances. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in Theater Performance back in 2009. I then moved to Philadelphia to further pursue acting and continue training. After four years in Philly, I moved back to Gainesville and continued my artsy journey. This past spring I got into one of the top drama programs in the US, FSU Asolo Conservatory in Sarasota, FL where I will begin in the fall working towards a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting.

Overall and at the core I am an artist, a student of life and a whole entire human.
