Gainesville ISO presents: "12th & Delaware"

"12th & Delaware" documents the conflict over abortion rights as it plays out on a daily basis at the corner of two ordinary streets in the town of Ft. Pierce, FL. On one side of the intersection stands a women's clinic that provides abortion services. On the opposite side of the street sits the so-called "Pregnancy Care Center," an anti-abortion outpost that tries to dissuade women from choosing abortions.

Featured on HBO as part of its Summer 2010 documentary series, the film was created by Oscar-nominated co-directors Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady (of "Jesus Camp" fame) to give an in-depth look at the ideological trench warfare that takes place daily as women struggle to deal with unwanted pregnancy.

Runtime-90 minutes

Discussion after the film will be lead by the Gainesville branch of the International Socialist Organization (ISO). ISO is an organization with branches across the country committed to building a left alternative to a world of war, racism and poverty. More info:
