Cinema Verde Presents: Eco-Artwalk

Join us for a special environmental-themed edition of the monthly Downtown Gainesville Artwalk, featuring student films presented by Cinema Verde, and works by local artists Andy Krone, Chrysanna Layton, and Michael Garvin.

Andy Krone: This series of paintings depicts random selections from the animal kingdom. They are started with a basic line/contour outline, and finished with whimsical colors not found in the species portrayed. I did this to offer a new look, and make the viewer wonder...what if?

Chrysanna Layton:  A variety of decorative and fine art objects made of recycled materials.

Michael Garvin:  Downtowner Michael Garvin returns after a long absence with a series of drawings of animals real and imagined.

Short Student Films Courtesy of Cinema Verde Film Festival (screened throughout the night, 7-10pm):  Save the French Broad, BuzzKill, Once I Counted Birds, WKPP: Push for the Connection
