Keith McInnis is a life long advocate of the space program, having watched every Apollo mission from Kennedy Space Center with his father, Bill McInnis, a prominent NASA engineer. Keith and his father conducted the only independent investigation of the Challenger tragedy. Keith has been an analyst and contributor to the news media (ABC, NPR, The Miami Herald, Knight-Ridder, etc) on space program issues for over 25 years.

His investigative stories about Space Shuttle safety were widely published and received mixed reactions from NASA.  His research has afforded him unique access to a handful of key engineers whose innovation and audacity delivered the successes of America's space program.
