Live Acoustic Music w/ Ryan Harvey (RiotFolk) and Lars Din

Lars Din is Gainesville's radical troubadour, a grassroots political organizer and self-described "junkyard anarchist folk musician." Using brilliantly crafted, technically astute music and ingeniously poetic lyrics, Lars plays and sings a mix of traditional/historic political folk tunes and passionate original songs that speak from the heart and tie personal experiences directly to the big picture political issues of our times.  Check out Lars online at www.songriot.com.

Ryan Harvey is a member of the RiotFolk! collective, a mutual aid organization of musicians who cooperatively record, tour, distribute and play what is loosely described as "folk-punk" and other types of acoustic music. Ryan is a longtime activist who has been organizing for peace and justice on a variety of issues since the late 1990s, most recently as an anti-war activist working in support of Iraq Veterans Against the War. He draws his inspiration and spirit from the political punk rock that sustained him as a teenager, and does play in an actual punk rock band from time to time, but as a touring solo performer he plays politically charged, energetic acoustic guitar-based original music, as well as traditional political folk standards.
