Born of sharecroppers, advisor to Malcom X and self-taught Afrocentric historian, John Henrik Clarke is now recognized as an influential thinker who has overturned established assumptions about 5,000 years of African history. Veteran documentary filmmaker St. Clair Bourne combines archival footage and compelling passionate discourses by Clarke to present a brief introduction to the man and his ideas.
