Journalist and civil rights activist Harriet Ludwig will speak at the Civic Media Center on Wednesday, September 17th at 8pm as part of our ongoing “First Hand History” series.

Ms. Ludwig and her husband traveled to Selma, Alabama after the “Bloody Sunday” incidents of March 7, 1965. What they learned inspired them to become involved in the movement, and led to Ms. Ludwig’s lifelong commitment to civil rights and grassroots activism.

Ms. Ludwig joins us for this talk 1 day after the occasion of her 83rd birthday. Come and learn what has kept her motivated and involved in the struggle for freedom and justice her whole adult life.
