Our Monday Night Movie series continues with this DVD featuring 3 videos from the Killer Coke campaign.
“Dispatches: Mark Thomas on Coca-Cola” is a 48-minute British TV documentary that follows political activist and journalist Mark Thomas as he travels to South America, India and the US to investigate the way in which Coca-Cola and its suppliers operate and documents their record of human rights, labor and environmental abuses.
“The Cost of a Coke” is a 20-minute documentary on Coca-Cola’s human rights abuses in Colombia produced by University of Montana student Matt Beard. This video highlights the questionable role of a Miami judge in key cases brought against Coke.
“Coca Cola Faces Human Rights Violations” is a 6-minute special news feature originally televised on New York City’s WB11 in 2005. It features college and university efforts to hold Coke accountable and hard-hitting statements by NYC Council Member Hiram Monserrate on what his fact-finding mission to Colombia uncovered.
