Presentation: “Venezuela: The World’s Best-Kept Secret of Democracy”
On Thursday June 5th from 7:30 to 9:30 pm the CMC will host a presentation and discussion on Venezuela. Gainesville Iguana editors Jenny Brown and Joe Courter, who recently returned from a peace delegation which visited 4 cities, will present a slideshow of photos from their trip. A thriving progressive democracy, Venezuela is often misrepresented in US media sources. What is really going on there, and how do the people there feel about it? Q & A and discussion will follow.
