Presented by attorneys from the Gainesville Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. Everything you need to know about how to safely practice, and defend, your First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly for the purposes of political protest.
This event is the kick-off event for the CMC’s “Know Your Rights” series, in collaboration with the NLG’s Street Law project. We will host an on-going series of “Know Your Rights” events starting in Fall 2008.
The National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to the need for basic and progressive change in the structure of our political and economic system. Through its members, the Guild works locally, nationally and internationally as an effective political and social force in the service of the people.
