The FCC is coming to Florida:

SAY NO TO CORPORATE MEDIA!

On April 30, the FCC is holding a public hearing on media ownership in Tampa. The Republican majority on the FCC wants to weaken the rules and allow more media consolidation. We need a strong public voice at the hearing to say: STOP BIG MEDIA! Florida doesn’t want more corporate media, shoddy journalism, right-wing spin and reality TV.

To organize Gainesville residents in advance of the hearing, Brad Aswell of Florida PIRG will be in town to conduct a workshop on media ownership. If you care about the future of our media and democracy, be sure to come to this event!
