The Civic Media Center will host a potluck celebration for local activists. Gainesville organizations like Progressive Democrats of America, Graduate Assistants United, Gainesville Women’s Liberation, Sierra, the Labor Party, and all other progressive activist groups are invited to attend. The evening will serve as a means for local activists to relax, talk, exchange and share food with friends. The event is part of a nationwide effort put on by the Backbone Campaign. All over the country, activists in different communities will get together for an evening of reflection.
Activists are asked to bring different dishes or drinks, including vegan, meat, and sugar free. There will also be mellow, acoustic provided by a local band.
