Counterpoise Benefit Show
| March 24, 2007 | ||
| 8:00 pm |
The CMC will host the fourth fundraising, benefit concert bash for Counterpoise magazine, an alternative review journal that promotes the alternative press. Counterpoise is run by a group of non-paid interns and volunteers. They need to raise money so they can represent the alternative press at the American Library Association conference in Washington D.C. The conference will be full of librarians, looking to expand their collections. Mainstream publishers will be out in full force, pushing their corporate viewpoints. Help us ensure that the alternative press has a voice, too.
Live music by local band Everything is OK, and others.
When: Saturday, March 24 @ 8 PM
Where: The CMC, 1021 W University Ave.
Door: $5 donation gets you access to all the festivities.
