WGOT-LP (94.7FM) has found its new transmitter location! At this point, we hope to be up and running by the end of the year with the signal originating from the GRU tower nea NW 39th Avenue and I-75. We’ve had many generous donations thus far but we need an extra monetary push. Checks can be made out to WGOT and sent to the Civic Media Center (1021 W. University Ave). If you are interested in participating in WGOT in a hands-on capacity, feel free to attend one of our meetings on the first and third Thursday of each month at the CMC at 6pm. We’ve had great music and talk program ideas thus far but are always open to yours. Our programs promise to be engaging grassroots affairs, and, with the exception of Amy Goodman’s “Democracy Now!,” completely local in origin.
