New Outreach Coordinator

The Civic Media Center has a new Outreach Coordinator. Jennifer Bame will be filling the position previously held by Kelly Mangan. Jennifer is a recent graduate of the University of Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in English and Sociology. As an undergraduate, Jennifer studied creative writing and issues of environmental racism and social psychology. She was a member of the National Collegiate Honors Society, and will be published in the upcoming issue of The Mangrove Review, a UF literary journal.

Jennifer became involved with the CMC through her internship at Counterpoise, a magazine dedicated to social responsibilities, liberty, and dissent. At Counterpoise, Jennifer serves as an issue editor as well as working on the advertising team. She also works part-time at the Pita Pit. Jennifer has considered attending law school to study environmental law, but is taking time off from school to work with the CMC in promoting alternative media and fighting censorship.
